Welcome to Nourishing Ireland
My intention in publishing this website is to share stories and photographs with you about the people, places, food, history and culture of Ireland as I experience them.
My viewpoint is that of a ‘blow-in’ (someone who was not born and raised in the local area.) I am an American and my husband is Austrian–so we definitely fit the definition. Although to be accurate, so would someone from Dublin or Cork or Galway!
My husband and I love to travel, so you will find stories here and there about places all over Ireland–especially as the website grows. However, the majority of stories focus on County Kerry. This is where my husband and I retired to at the end of 2019, and for us it is paradise! I think you will agree with us when you view the photographs on this site.
